Giving back to pay it forward. This concept captures the essence of Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation’s new Nurses Giving Society.
Throughout history, nurses have been at the forefront of patient care, always giving of themselves through their knowledge, expertise and compassion. The principles of philanthropy complete that circle of giving back by supporting the continued education for past, current, and future nurses.
When you “give back to pay it forward,” you are helping ease financial barriers for continuing education so that aspiring nurses may focus on pursuing their dreams to serve others through their calling. As members of the Nurses Giving Society, your gifts are also at work providing state of the art facilities and equipment to train the next generation of nurses. Together we are able to provide the next generation of nurses the opportunity to receive and advance their education while gaining clinical expertise in one of our hospitals.
Donors who give $500 annually are recognized on our digital donor walls at the hospitals of Morton Plant Mease.

Nurses Giving Society members ($100) benefits:

- Subscription to the Foundation’s Circle Magazine and Philanthropy Report updating you on Foundation events and hospital happenings

"I was very fortunate to have been involved with the formation of the Nurses Giving Society. As a longtime advocate for nurses, I saw how this society would help support the numerous nursing excellence programs the Foundation began funding many years ago. Nurses helping nurses just seems the right thing to do! I have always hoped our nurses, especially those who have had their nursing education paid for and those who have received scholarships, would feel the urge to “pay it forward”. This society provides an opportunity for them to do so. The funds raised by the annual membership dues are used to supplement grants to support programs that contribute to better health care outcomes for the patients in our community hospitals."
